How to Connect
In RocketVerifier open Dashboard → Integrations → Amazon SES, enter the ARNs of the SNS topics that will deliver notifications (one per line) and click Connect. No AWS credentials are needed.
| Field | Required | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| SNS topic ARNs | Required | e.g. arn:aws:sns:us-east-1:123456789012:ses-bounces. Only notifications from these topics are accepted. |
Credentials are stored encrypted and are only ever sent to the platform's own API hosts.
Write-back
Amazon SES is a bounce feed only; it has no contacts to sync.
Bounce Feed Setup
The webhook URL is shown on the integration page in the dashboard and has the form:
In SES, send Bounce and Complaint notifications to an SNS topic: per identity (Notifications tab) or with a configuration set event destination.
In SNS, create an HTTPS subscription on that topic with the webhook URL shown on the integration page. RocketVerifier confirms the subscription automatically.
Make sure the topic's ARN is listed in the integration settings.
- Permanent bounces → hard bounce, transient bounces → soft bounce, complaints → complaint. Every message's SNS signature is verified (certificates only from
sns.<region>.amazonaws.com), messages older than 6 hours are rejected and message ids are de-duplicated. - Hard bounces and complaints are added to your auto-managed suppression list Bounces & complaints (auto); soft bounces are recorded only. Hard bounces of addresses we verified as deliverable are refunded under the bounce guarantee.
Beta: the Amazon SES connector is new. Sync reports list every contact that could not be updated; please tell us if something looks wrong.
